STATUTES OF THE SOCIETY OF THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC OF ORTHOPEDICS AND TRAUMA - SDOT 

Name: Society Of the Dominican Republic of Orthopedics and Trauma 

Initials: S.D.O.T. 

The Society Of the Dominican Republic of Orthopedics and Traumat - SDOT was founded December of the year 6 1969. 

Incorporation for the Presidential Ordinance  Not. 365-98, article 1, given at the five (5) days of the month of October of the 1998, years 155 of the Independence and 136 of the Restoration, for the President Leonel  Fernández.  Published in the page 37 of the Official  Gazette of  October 31 the 1998. 

Their social seat will be the city of Sacred Domingo of Guzmán, being able to have it, in form storm, in those counties where 20 or more active members of the society reside. The duration of the Society Of the Dominican Republic of Orthopedics and Traumat are indefinite. 

 

I REGULATE ORGANIC INTERN OF THE S.D.O.T. 

I SURRENDER I - NATURE AND ENDS 

Article 1. - The present regulation is emitted of conformity with that prepared by the sovereign decision of the assembly of its carried out members the day 25 of the month of April of the year 2009 and finish May of the same year 23, and for that had in the Chapter IX of the Medical School Of the Dominican Republic which will be filial being welcomed to its Article 54. 

Article 2.-the ends of the S.D.O.T. they are: 

 a) to Exercise the representation of the professionals of the medicine specialized in orthopedics and trauma, before the society and for delegation, before the public and private organisms. 

 

b) to Serve to the Medical School Of the Dominican Republic and the State of the Dominican Republic as organism consultant and regulator as regards Orthopedics and Trauma. 

 

c) to Defend the rights of our members, the respect and the consideration that deserve among them; as well as the moral interests, intellectuals and materials of their profession. 

 

d) to Settle down, to maintain and to demand the highest levels of quality regarding the formation of the orthopedists of the Dominican Republic. 

 

and) to Foment, to endorse and to promote all type of educational events that you/they spread to elevate the level of the knowledge of the members of our society. 

 

f) to Maintain and to diffuse an official publication that serves as spokesman of the society in the union thing and I eat educational and informative vehicle in the scientific thing.  To promote other colateral publications that don't compete in their character with the official organ, but that they serve like complement of their made. 

 

g) to Credit, to endorse and to advise to the existent post-degree schools in the country.  To supervise their acting and educational quality. 

 

h) to Defend the morals of the medical practice in our specialty, to establish their norms of professional ethics and to watch over their execution. 

 

i) to Look after the maintenance of the cordiality and solidarity among the orthopedists of the Dominican Republic, and of these with the orthopedists of the world. 

 

j) to Create the different Chapters according to the subspecialties that are developed in the orthopedics and the trauma. 

 

k) to Establish bonds of friendship and exchange with the foreigner's homologous societies and with societies of specialties you tune inside and outside of our nation. 

 

I SURRENDER II - MEMBERS, DUTIES AND RIGHTS. 

Article 3. - The S.D.O.T. it will be integrated by the following members: 

1 - Regular or Active members 

2 - Corresponding members 

3 - Attributed members 

4 - members of Honor 

to) Regular Members. - 

They are those that completing the requirements to belong as REGULAR member of the society, they stay a day in the execution of their monthly, or annual quotas, or with the rhythm that these statutes confer. 

 

Article 4. - Requirements to be Regular Member of the S.D.O.T. 

1 - to be medical and to present their credit documentation (certified and legalized Title). 

2 - to demonstrate with documents that credit (legalized Title and endorsed by an university recognized by the corresponding consular authorities, it Programs curricular properly I authenticate for the educational authorities of the country in that he/she was formed) that completed a continuous training of the specialty in a national or international center recognized by the S.D.O.T. of the time settled down by the National Council of Medical Residences.  The interested one will give the necessary information so that the authorities of the S.D.O.T. they can confirm in the formation school, the truthfulness of the deposited documents. If it is formed in our country it will have fulfilled the requirements demanded by the Regulation of Medical Residences in Orthopedics and Trauma. If the interested one comes from exterior it will should, besides all the above-mentioned, to approve an exam presented by the SDOT. 

Article 5. - Duties and Rights. 

All the members of the S.D.O.T. they should: 

1 - to respect to cabalidad the regulations that establish these statutes. 

 

2 - to defend and prestigiar with their civil behavior, professional and moral to the S.D.O.T. maintaining the ethics as norm and the vocation of service for the patients and the community. 

 

3 - to support and to collaborate in the measure of their possibilities with the union, cultural and scientific activities that it organizes, promote and endorse our society. 

RIGHTS:  The Regular Members are the only ones with right to voice and vote. If they fulfill the corresponding requirements, they will be able to be elect for the different positions inside the Directive of the S.D.O.T. they are the only ones that can endorse with their signatures the application of entrance of a new member. - 

All the members are entitled to be protected and protected by the S.D.O.T. if they are victims of an act of injustice for which faces a judicial process. 

They are entitled to participate as authors in the scientific events that it organizes the society as well as in their official publication. 

The other members not Regular, alone they will be entitled to voice but not to the vote for that that neither will be able to be elect for any position of the Directive one of the S.D.O.T. 

b) Corresponding Members. -those medical orthopedists that having gathered the Regular Member's conditions, but it resides abroad.  To this member he/she is discharged of the payment of the periodic quota.  Once in the country, he/she acquires their Ownership putting on a day with the corresponding payments starting from the moment in that it returns to reside in the country. Also they will be Corresponding Members those orthopedists foreign non residents in the country that for their well-known merits, or because having subjected their curriculum to the Directive of the S.D.O.T., this it considers to grant this distinction. 

 

c) Members of Honor. - Those citizens that for their merits and contributions to the progress and development of the specialty are worthy of such a distinction. Always, such a distinction will be endorsed by the general assembly of the S.D.O.T. 

 

d) Attributed Members. they -are those belonging to specialties you tune with the Orthopedics and the Traumatología that request to narrow bonds with our society. 

 

I SURRENDER III. - AUTHORITIES OF THE DIRECTIVE MEETING. 

The Directive or Directive Meeting will be composed for: 

- The President of the society. 

- Vice-president 

- General secretary 

- Treasurer 

- President of the Regional National District / Delegate 

- President of Regional North / Delegate 

- President of Regional South / Delegate 

- President of Regional This Delegate 

- Immediate Last President 

- Three Vowels 

- Three Vowels 

Article 6. - Election of the Directive or Directive Meeting. 

In conformity with the regulations of the Medical School Of the Dominican Republic of the one which the S.D.O.T. he/she is filial member, the election of each Directive or Directive Meeting it will be every two years for vote secret, in Ordinary assembly proclaimed for the first or second weekend of December being the election mechanism for National Irons that will fulfill the requirements that it establishes this statutory regulation. This alone assembly will be able to session if in her he/she congregates the quorum settled down by these statutory regulations. 

 

- I REGULATE ELECTORAL 

Electoral commission. -   

Organism that will be constituted three months before the Ordinary Assembly and it will conclude the winners once they are proclaimed to regentear next period. It will be formed for: 

 

- President of the society. 

- Vice-president 

- Immediate Last President 

- General secretary 

- A delegate of the Medical School Of the Dominican Republic 

Work: 

President: To summon the commission by means of the General Secretary, to coordinate the works, to open the session electionaria in the Ordinary Assembly summoned for such an end like they establish it these statutory regulations and to leave finish the event proclaiming the iron or candidates winners.  To sign the records with the electoral results next to the General Secretary and of the delegate of the CMD. 

Vice-president: to carry out the works that are commended them by the Boss of the Commission that is the President of the society. 

General secretary: to carry out the count of the taken out votes of the or the urns, in a public way before the members of the Assembly and in a transparent way.  He/she will leave perseverance in records of the obtained results and firmarea next to the President and to the delegate of the CMD.  It is who will receive the documentation of the candidates of the irons that you/they will aspire to be chosen by the Assembly formally.  He/she will give a receipt in writing to the receivers.  He/she will also give to the candidate to the Presidency of each iron the certificate of acceptance of the candidacy or of their disqualification or rejection. 

Delegate of the Medical School Of the Dominican Republic:  He/she will be an observer and inspector of the whole electoral process.  Podrea to recommend mechanisms that contribute to the activation or transparency of the process. It will sign the records of the electoral results next to the President and to the General Secretary. 

  a) The electoral period three will open up (3) months before the election date and the irons will be able to register until one month (30 days) before the voting process. 

 

b) The vote will be secret and the mechanism will be established and organized by the Electoral Commission in session to closed doors where alone they will be able to Regular Members of the society to be (a day in the payment of its quotas) and the delegate of the Medical School Of the Dominican Republic. 

 

c) The alone scrutiny will be carried out and it will be legal if sessiona with a quorum of the half more one of all the Regular Members of the society present.  When the half doesn't exist more one, a will be expected (1) hour for the second convocation and if not yet the required quorum is made a third convocation it will be made to the 15 minutes and you'll go with the present.  

 

d) Those members that have lost their ownership for indebtedness with the S.D.O.T. they will lose their right to the vote. 

 

and) The votes will be counted in total transparency before the assembly and the winning iron will be proclaimed the count once he/she ends. 

 

f) The right to veto or objection against any candidate of an iron will be able to be exercised by any Regular Member seconded by three Regular Members more, and they will give the document up to three weeks (21 days) before the assembly eleccionaria and in this document  

exaustively the causes of the veto and the probatory elements should be explained so that the Electoral Commission can check the truthfulness of the same one. 

 

g) A vetoed candidate or refuted and that the validity of the veto has been demonstrated, it will be outside of the scrutiny after being notified by the Electoral Commission. 

 

h) Those Regular Members that have exercised their right to the veto without probatory elements or whose accusation is inconsistente they will be subject of severe sanctions that they will be able to be from the maximum pain that is the expulsion of the society until the suppression from its right to the vote. 

 

i) The National President and the Regional Presidents cannot opt for the reelection in serial periods, the other members of the Directive one if they have this option. 

 

j) All the documents: certifications, receipts, and records will be signed by the President of the society, for the General Secretary, and for the Delegate of the Medical School Of the Dominican Republic. 

 

k) When finishing the elections it is left closed the assembly.  In the final night or of closing of the congress or cultural, social or scientific event, in a solemn act; the salient President will make her 

speech of rendition of bills and he/she will say goodbye to the congress or cultural, social or scientific event.  

 

After the salient President's speech, the ceremony teacher will read the resume of the elect President of the S.D.O.T. who he will be able to ascend to the podium and to thank the one that you/they have distinguished him with that command and he will be able to present to the other members of his Directive one. 

Article 7. - general Requirements to be able to be elect to positions in the Directive one. 

1 - to be Regular Member (Staying a day with the payment of their quotas, fulfilling that settled down in these statutory regulations in all their articles). 

2 - not to be low a condition sub judice for the tribunals of the country. 

3 - not to be subjected to the Committee of Ethics and Deontología Doctor, neither in the disciplinary tribunal of the society or of the Medical School Of the Dominican Republic. 

4 - it should be of the Dominican Republic or to be nationalized of the Dominican Republic, in the event of having been born in another country. 

5 - to have a 5 year-old minimum of being Regular Member of the S.D.O.T. 

 

- Requirements to be elect President of the S.D.O.T.: 

1) to fulfill all the general requirements and to have belonged to a directive one previous. 

 

2) to have been regular member for not less than 10 years and to have attended in 70% of the activities of the society. 

 

The candidate to preside over an iron, he/she will give to the Electoral Commission all the curricular documents that demonstrate that it fulfills the requirements settled down by these statutory regulations, as well as those of the other members of their iron. 

- The Electoral Commission will revise the curriculum from the candidates to President of each Iron and they will grant the seen good. 

Article 8. - I Pass over of Control. - 

The transfer of salient control of the Directive one to the incoming one will be made in a solemn activity on first Friday from the month of later February to the assembly eleccionary of the first week of December.  

Previously to this public act and in the first fifteen days of the month of January, it will have been carried out at least a meeting among both Directive ones where will surrender the books and documents of

the salient part to the incoming one and the place explanations will be given.  To this meeting it will be invited the delegate of the CMD that participated like part of the Electoral Commission who will edit and to sign a records that he/she leaves clear that everything was taken to end with the due transparency that the transfer demands. Then a date will be chosen, as soon as possible, to go to the bank for the change of signatures.  

Article 9. - you Work of the Directive one. - 

1 - to veil for that the statutes are completed. 

2 - to complete and to make complete the emanated agreements of the assembly. 

3 - to look after the payment and the destination of the funds of the S.D.O.T. 

4 - to celebrate monthly meetings to stay a day of how the execution is developed of you commend them assigned.. 

5 - to summon the ordinary and extraordinary meetings, as well as to summon the Ordinary and Extraordinary Assemblies, to fix their dates and realization places. 

 

Article 10. - you Work of each Directive: 

a) President. -  

1 - its will be the official representative of the S.D.O.T. before the law, the public powers, the collective, and before all national or foreign entity, with who the society has or he/she could have relationship in defense or diffusion of its postulates and agreements, before the public and private organisms. 

2 - to pronounce the inaugural speech from the to Assembly Ordinary bianual of December. 

3 - to sign, next to the General Secretary, the correspondences and other official documents of the S.D.O.T. 

4 - to sign, next to the Treasurer, the payment orders. 

5 - to represent the S.D.O.T. judicial or extrajudiacialmente, with ability to constitute managers of the society and to make use of all the necessary legal resources in those matters in that the S.D.O.T. he/she has interests that is to say it leaves. 

6 - to receive to name of the S.D.O.T. all kinds of goods, previous authorization of the Directive one. 

7 - to give bill to the Directive of the matters that solves of agreement with their attributions. 

8 - to read the speech of Rendition of Bills at the end of the Assembly Ordinary bianual of their command. 

9 - to authorize the convocation of the regular sessions of the Directive, electoral and Assembly 

10 - to visit the regional and provincial branches periodically, and to offer that the work of these is the most practical thing possible. 

11 - it will be responsible for the good administration of the resources of the S.D.O.T., of the commitments assumed by the Directive one before the Assembly of their members. 

12 - it will be responsible for the administration and the integrity of the material goods of the society as well as of their infrastructure, and it will offer that he/she stays a day the inventory of all the properties of the S.D.O.T. 

13 - to request to the executive power any modification of these statutory regulations according to approval of the General Assembly. 

14 - to exercise all those activities that correspond him for their position and that they are not specially assigned to other officials or organisms of the S.D.O.T. 

15 - it will be the General Director of all the Official Organs of the institution like magazine, bulletins and others. 

16 - to preside over and to drive the ordinary sessions of the Directive one and of the Assemblies. 

  b) Vice-president. - 

1 - to substitute the President in functions when this cannot assume it for absence forced storm or permanent. 

2 - to collaborate with the President in the acting of their works, should represent it when that he/she requests it. 

3 - to supervise the work of the secretaries and to collaborate with them. 

4 - to fulfill their work in those commissions for which these regulations designate him, as well as the responsibilities assigned by the Directive one. 

 

c) General Secretary. - 

1 - to take the registration (I Take a census of) of the members of the S.D.O.T. and to maintain a day the curriculum viate of  

each one of them. 

2 - to organize and to guard the file of the other secretaries and commissions. 

        3 - to register in writing in extensive all that tried in each session of the Directive one and Assemblies, and  

to transcribe it in the book of records of the society, as well as the registration of the agreements approved in  

each session of the Directive one and of the Assemblies. 

4 - to send the citations and invitations to the members of the society for their concurrence or assemblies.  For this end it will be been able to aid for their secretari @ or of the institution (Employee of the same one). 

5 - to inform to the Commissions, and to the branches of the society, of the agreements adopted by the Directive one and to give the reports that you/they request him. 

6 - to sign next to the President all the correspondence of the Directive one and all the relative one to the same one. 

7 - to organize the goods of the institution and to look after their protection, as well as to supervise and to direct to the administrative personnel in the acting of their functions. 

8 - to give reading of the respective records corresponding to the agreements adopted in the last session before giving beginning to a new one, be ordinary or extraordinary. 

  d) Treasurer. - 

1 - to collect the ordinary and extraordinary quotas of agreement with that settled down in these regulations. 

2 - to put into practice the measures tenders to the fund-raising to increase the patrimony of the S.D.O.T. always previous authorization of the Directive one or for expressed command of the Assembly. 

3 - to take or to supervise the accounting of the revenues and expenditures of the S.D.O.T. 

4 - to sign together with the President all the expenditures, financial documents and values that emanate of their secretary. 

5 - to present monthly to the Directive one or when this requires it of the current report of the finances of the S.D.O.T. it will present this report before the Ordinary Assembly of the society 

 

Article 11. - When finishing every presidential period he/she will be carried out an audit for an Authorized Public Accountant designated by the School of Public Accountants, and the Treasurer will be forced to give the books of bills so that he is carried out this audit. This he/she will be carried out to more to take in the month of later January to the Assembly Ordinary bianual elecccionary. 

 

and) The Regional Delegates are the Regional Presidents. - 

1 - to represent the President of the society in the region that represents. 

2 - to work for the reproduction of the S.D.O.T. in the region that represents, to supervise that they are carried out the agreements emanated by the Directive one and the Assemblies. 

3 - to direct the commissions and work groups that conform to in their region, in consonance with these statutory regulations, and to surrender a report of the product of their regional activity, in each National ordinary session of the Directive one. 

 

f) Immediate Last President. - 

1 - its will act as an adviser of the President of the society. 

2 - to fulfill their responsibilities in those commissions for which has been designated by these statutory regulations or for the Directive one. 

3 - in the event of forced absence of the President and of the Vice-president, it will assume president's in a temporary way functions until the hierarchical situation of the society is resolved as it points out it the electoral regulation of the S.D.O.T in its article 12. 

Article 12. - in the event of definitive absence of the President and of the Vice-president of their positions, the Immediate Last President it will assume the presidency and it will summon to Extraordinary Elections in next month of December, after being declared officially vacant both positions. This will be made in case it is been in  

the first year of the Directive one affected with the loss of both officials. After having celebrated the Extraordinary Elections you will begin a new period bianual of the society directive that is winning 

In case that Directive one is studying their second year, then it won't be necessary to proclaim Extraordinary, so alone Elections it will be expected to that the Assembly Ordinary bianual arrives where will take place the ordinary Elections of period term. 

 

I SURRENDER IV. - SECRETARIATS AND COMMISSIONS. - 

Article 13.-the Secretariats or Secretaries are organisms contemplated by these statutory regulations that have institutional character and that they have a specific function settled down by the same ones. They will have a director or Secretary, it will be the responsible for the functions of their secretary.  The President or Director of each Secretary will participate in the ordinary sessions of the Directive one with right to voice but not to vote, because they are not part, necessarily, of the Iron voted in the Assembly. Their Secretary will surrender a report to the Directive of the course of the works of his Secretary in the ordinary meeting of the Directive or Directive Council, or when this requests it to him. 

The Commissions and Committees, will be organisms that although contemplated by these regulations, they don't have permanency character and whose work is very specific.  Their members will be designated by the Directive of the society and their responsible one will be their Director who will be summoned to the ordinary meetings of the Directive one with right to voice but not to vote since won't be positions voted by the Assembly. When it is satisfied the reason for which this commission was formed, from that instant perimirá its function and it will be dissolved. 

a) it would Secrete of International Relationships. - he/she will Have as task to open knots of friendship and exchange with homologous societies in other nations of the world and to narrow even more those already existent. Their director will be designated by the Directive one and at the end of this, it can be ratified by the incoming one if it is considered this way to be had grateful a good work.  

The Secretary of International Relationships should accompany the President of the Society in all the union or scientific trips to the exterior and it will act as his chancellor (secretary and representative). he will Be the representative of the S.D.O.T. before the international organisms of the specialty, as the SICOT, SLAOT, etc. 

 

b) Secretary of Publications, Culture and Education. - 

This secretary will contain three important functions in an alone one. Their Secretary will be the Executive Director of the Magazine of the S.D.O.T. and as such, it will be in charge of all the relative one to his edition and publication. This Secretary will be designated according to curricular approach by the Directive one National and he will be able to be ratified by the directive ones national following. It can be raised of their position by a Directive one National if their work has been faulty or it has not fulfilled the espectativas or agreed program, otherwise alone he/she will be able to be sustituído for a Regular Member with a similar curriculum or better. It will direct a team formed for: 

 

1 - taken charge Cultural who will have under their responsibility of presenting the proposals for the planning of the cultural activities of every period, for what will be countersigned by the Directive one National after being presented by the Secretary of this secretary. 

 

2 - Scientific committee and Education, this committee, besides the Secretary, it will be formed by each Coordinator of each Program of Residence of Orthopedics and Trauma endorsed by the S.D.O.T. 

This Committee will design the program of Continuous Education that will maintain our society in coordination with the Directive one National that it will designate one of its vowels so that it is to the front and guarantee that it is completed in the time that its command lasts and it is what will guarantee the continuity of a program of this gender. 

This Committee will take charge of to revise and to accept the works that will be published in the Magazine, official organ of the society.  He/she will also be responsible for the selection of the works to be exposed in the congresses and days científicas.Deberá to participate actively in the organization and coordination in these scientific events and in courses of upgrade that decide to carry out for bill of the S.D.O.T. 

 

The Program of Continuous Education will be composed by Days, Courses, Conferences, Symposium, Round Tables and other types of activities of scientific character that are good for this end. 

 

It will be their responsibility, of this committee, to work next to the Secretary of international Relationships to get rotations abroad for specialist Regular Members and residents of schools endorsed by the S.D.O.T. 

 

Lastly, this Secretary will be responsible for the creation and amplification of the hemeroteca so much written as cybernetics and it will establish the mechanism so that as much the texts as the filed articles can arrive to the interested Regular Members. 

 

This Secretary of Publications, Culture and Education, will be able to have assigned a personnel employee that can or not to be medical, or he/she can or not to be Regular Member of the society to carry out the positions admisnistrativos of Secretari @, Diseñador/Corrector of the Magazine and of other publications, and Messenger.  The signal personnel's salaries will emanate of that taken place by this activities and publications. 

To avoid a conflict of interests, the funds obtained by the activities of this secretary, including those of the publications, they will be managed by the treasury of the society (Treasurer), but the Secretary of this secretary will take an accounting of the incoming resources for each concept for this way to be able to claim the funds to finance salaries, edition costs and publication. 

  c) Secretary of Legal Matters. - 

They will be assigned three Regular Members that are also pled and a Secretary of Legal Matters will be designated among them who it will coordinate the work of this secretariat that will be responsible for to assist all the relative one to: 

1 - to maintain a day the legal documentation of the S.D.O.T. before the state and judicial organisms, chord with the legislation that aids the incorporation of our society (Social Reason, Not. Fiscal voucher, Registrations and RNC) and all the necessary one to maintain the S.D.O.T. inside the legality. 

2 - to advise to the Directive one National in everything that that is derived of their competition. 

3 - I support and consultantship before some conflict of legal character in that our society is either involved to its official representation (The President) like to some of its organisms y/o secretaries, as well as to its goods properties, furniture, as financial resources (you Count bank, etc.). 

4 - I support and legal consultantship for anyone of our Regular Members that you/they are involved in an action plaintiff or judicial reclamation and that they request this support and consultantship. 

These members of this alone secretary can be sustituídos for similar to them (Regular Members that are lawyers) and they can be ratified by the Directive ones National incoming. The relief or substitution of some of these members or of all, it should be very justified or for application of the same ones. 

 

d) Committee of Ethics and it Disciplines. - 

This committee should be formed by three Regular Members with more than 10 years of exemplary ejercico, as much in the professional thing as in the moral thing, and with ethics knowledge, the duration in the position should be for two periods (4 years). they will Also participate as members of the same one the President of the society and the Secretary of Legal Matters, consequently this ethics committee will be formed by five members. 

The election of the members will be carried out proposing things and being announced the names of those proposed in advance of advance and at least in a number of the Magazine S.D.O.T. immediately previous to the day of elected of the same ones. 

This this way, so that any objection that has one or more Regular Members against one or but of the subjected candidates, be carried out in a National session of the Directive one keeping the respect and the discretion, like form of the rebuked candidate's protection basing us on the axiom that it is innocent until the opposite is demonstrated, therefore, the imputation will undergo with probatory solidity. 

If objection doesn't take place some or the one made has been discarded, the Directive one will be able to choose its terna for the mechanisms usually used in the ordinary sessions of the directive one.  Once the three elective members of this Committee be designated, they will be informed those selected and the corresponding coordinations will be made.  This Committee will be presided over by the President of the society. 

and) Electoral Commission. -  

It was already exposed previously by what settles down in the Chapter III, article 6. 

 

I SURRENDER V. - OF THE BRANCHES OF THE SDOT 

REGIONAL. - zonal Organism that contains a great portion of the territory national formed for several counties, municipalities and cities.  For ends of operation of the S.D.O.T. there are four (4) Regions that are: 

- Regional of the National District. - it Contains Sacred Domingo's 4 counties.  

- Regional North. - it Contains the whole region of the Cibao, the northwest line and the northeast area. 

- Regional This. - it Contains all the counties from SPM until Higuey. 

- Regional South. - it Contains the counties from san Cristóbal, San Juan of the Maguana, Elías Pineapple, until Flints. 

Article 14.-each Regional one will have a President that will be the Regional Delegate before the Directive one National of the SDOT. 

Article 15.-each Regional one can and it should be developed like an extension of the S.D.O.T. being adjusted to the normative ones statutory without entering in competition with their institution main in none of their Chapters. 

He/she will have a Directive one similar to their main, the S.D.O.T. and their resolutions should be endorsed and approved by the society. They can enjoy a financial autonomy and their statutes should be edited chord with those of their society main. 

Their Directive one instead of Regional Delegates will have Provincial Delegates.  All the provincial activities will be channeled by their Regional one.  The activities of each Regional one won't be able to compete with the National one, neither the Provincial ones to compete with the Regional ones. 

Article 16.-each National Iron will have in its structure an Iron of each Region (provided the development exists otherwise in a Region that allows it, that Regional one little developed in union, alone terms he/she would have a Delegate designated in the National Iron). 

The requirements to be candidates to the Regional Irons are the same ones that for the National one unless for the Regional President he/she should have eight (8) minimum years of exercise like specialist. 

 

I SURRENDER I SAW. - HONORS AND SANCTIONS. - 

HONORS. - 

Article 17.-teacher of the Orthopedics and Trauma Of the Dominican Republic. - it is the maximum reward that grants the Society Of the Dominican Republic of Orthopedics and Trauma.  He/she is conferred those members that have made educational career of many years y\o that at least they have constriction in the formation of 5 generations of orthopedists of the Dominican Republic, and that they have had a professional work inside the ethical and moral cánones that recognizes our society and these statutory regulations. 

Article Meritorious 18.-member. - it is a supreme reward granted to those members that for their work professional prestigian to the Orthopedics and Trauma of the Dominican Republic, but it doesn't still gather the requirements to designate him comon Teacher of the Orthopedics Of the Dominican Republic. 

SANCTION. - 

Article Indefinite 19.-expulsion of the S.D.O.T. - Maximum sanction granted to anyone of the members of the society and that it will correspond with a very serious lack to these regulations, to the ethics, to the morals, or to the discipline.  It should be extremely valued and considered in that the data and probatory documents should be irrefutable. 

It should be made in writing and signed by the in the middle of Committee of Ethics, with copy to the CMD, and it should be published in our Magazine and in the national press. 

Article Temporary 20.-expulsion. - Serious imposed sanction when, in spite of being had proven the graveness of the lack, circumstances or elements that make exist that the own Committee of Ethics and it Disciplines he/she doesn't want to impose it in a permanent or indefinite way.  It is published alone in the magazine of the society and colateral publications.  The period will be determined by the Committee of Ethics. 

The member expelled temporarily, still when it recovers their membership, it will lose the right to be elect for any position to the Directive one as to the secretariats and commissions according to that settled down by the regulations of the CMD. 

Article Temporary 21.-suspension of the Regular Membership. - This sanction inhibits the rights of the one imputed but maintaining the nominal membership, however he/she should pay to cabality the monthly quotas and if he/she doesn't pay them, when finishing the sanction and to recover its Ownership, he/she will put on a day of all that stopped to pay.  The times of the sanction will be decided by the Committee of Ethics and it Disciplines. 

Article 22.-suspension of the right to vote. - This sanction is exclusive for those members that make a false and unjustified imputation against a candidate.  He/she will also be imposed that member that incident the electoral process and in this case he/she will be forced to abandon the living room that harbors to the Assembly.  It will also lose the right to the vote that regular member that is not a day with their quotas. 

Article 23.-admonishment and Public Critic. - smaller Sanction imposed before an important but not so serious sanction, will be published in the organs of the society. 

Article 24.-admonishment and Private Critic. - Before a smaller lack, the same one is given in writing and it is not published in any organ of the society. 

 

I SURRENDER VII. - OF THE ASSEMBLIES. - 

Article 25. - The Assembly is the maximum organ of the S.D.O.T. and its decisions should be completed by all their associates. Alone they will be entitled to vote their Regular Members. Alone they will be the topics that constitute their calendar, announced previously. They won't have open topics and they won't be others that are not in the same one. 

Article 26. - The S.D.O.T. it will celebrate an Assembly Ordinary bianual in the month of December to know the report of the Directive or Directive Meeting, and for the realization of the Directive Elections of a new one. He/she will be carried out the first or second Saturday of December in their shift afternoon. Except for cause of more force. 

Article 27. - As the Ordinary Assembly he/she has a character eleccionary, their convocation it should be made with a minimum of a (1) month of advance by all possible means of diffusion interns and for the national press. It should be informed in this convocation the content of their calendar. 

Article 28. - The Ordinary Assembly owes sesionar with a Quorum of the half more one of all its Active or Regular Members. In the event of not being achieved this quorum, a second convocation will be made later for two hours, and quorum will be made with the presence of the third part of the Active Members.  If the quorum has not still been achieved, then it will be suspended for that date and another convocation will be made for one month (30 days) later in the local of the Medical School Of the Dominican Republic and sesionará with the quantity of Active Members that you/they attend. 

Article 29.-the Extraordinary Assembly will be summoned with a (1) month of advance and its only object will be the modification or amplification of the current statutes. For their convocation it will be picked up the approbatory signatures of the half more one of all the regular members of the S.D.O.T. 

 

I SURRENDER VIII. - OF THE FUNDS OF THE SOCIETY. 

Article 30. - The financial resources of the S.D.O.T. they will be obtained 

a) of the ordinary quotas of their regular or Active Members, 

b) of the scientific, cultural and social activities that he/she carries out the institution, 

c) Of the donations and gifts that are received according to the objectives of the society, and 

d) Any other legal benefit or collaboration and that belonging together with the strictest norms in the ethics and the morals. 

and) of the assignments that come from the Medical School Of the Dominican Republic according to that consigned in their statutory regulations. They will stay in a bank bill managed by the signatures of the National or Directive President of the Directive one and for that of the Treasurer of the same one. 

  Article 31. - The ordinary quotas will be modified and fixed by the Assembly Ordinary bianual previous placement of this point in their calendar announced with three months of advance. The Directive ones subsequent they will give execution to the collection from the same one to all Regular the Members. THE MODIFICATION OF THE I MOUNT AND RHYTHM OF THE ORDINARY QUOTAS IS NOT CONSIDERED TO MODIFICATION OF THESE STATUTORY REGULATIONS.   

Article 32. - The Members to Regulate pensioners or pensioners, and that they have retired of the deprives you practical activity, but they stay carrying out some consultantship or they maintain their relationship with our society, they will be discharged of the ordinary quotas maintaining him their Ownership like members.   

Any entrance and expenditure that it is made should settle in the book of accounting of the society for the Treasurer who will sign next to the Secretary @ of Records.   

THE FUNDS OF THE S.D.O.T. ALONE THEY WILL BE ABLE TO BE USED TO FINANCE RELATIVE COSTS TO:   

a) scientific Events ace Congresses, Days, Symposium, Courses and Shops, Masterful Conferences, and Round Tables. These costs dog be for the assembly of the infrastructure of the event ace well ace the costs of the companies to participates you ace exponents in the same ones, belong to the foreigner ace national.    

   

b) you Improve in the furniture and equipment of support of our institution (Furniture, computers, printers, cameras and other teams that the technology offers us to improve and to make lives efficient the work of our officials.   

   

c) he/she Buys, of local or local and amplification and remodeling of the same ones. Our society will have to national local located in the Capital city of the Regional republic Of the Dominican Republic local and.  These local will be able to be acquired by purchase cash or for financing, ace well ace they will be able to be rented.   

   

   

   

I SURRENDER VIII. - ON THE OFFICIALS OF THE S.D.O.T.   

1 - National members of the Directive one.   

2 - secretaries and Directors of Secretaries and Commissions   

3 - employees of the institution.   

They plows employees of the S.D.O.T. and they will charge to salary assigned by the Directive one and emanated by the Treasury.   

- Secretary  of Records. - he/she will Be the or the assistant in administrative matter of the President of the society and of the Directive one National.     

- Auxiliary Secretarys. - they will Carry out the same work but for other dependences of the society like the Secretaries.   

- Messenger. -    

- Personnel's type that is required ace permanent or for adjustment, ace technical personnel that is necessary to carry out some work.   

   

   

These statutes were modified and approved in the Extraordinary Assembly summoned for April of the year 25 2009 in the living room of conferences of Laboratories Rathio in Sacred Domingo, Capital of the Republic Of the Dominican Republic and approved in the culmination of this assembly, in their second session summoned for May of the year 23 2009, in the living room of conferences of the Hospital Arturo Grullón of Santiago of The Gentelmen. After fulfilling all that settled down by the regulations corresponding to the incorporation of our society by the National Congress of the Republic, and with that settled down by the statutes that were effective before being approved their modification.
